Sophia Wyatt has a wealth of experience in the beauty industry. Since training in 1993 Sophia initially focussed her career on Hair and Makeup styling in TV and film. Initially training in Beauty Therapy at Guildford College, she went on to study fashion and media makeup at the Delamar Academy of Make-up in London. Followed by special effects makeup for film at Shepperton Studios.
Working along side various freelance roles Sophia joined MAC Cosmetics pro team. For several years Sophia gained valuable experience working with a vast array of skin types, tones, ages and conditions, allowing her to experiment with products, colours, textures and styles. She quickly found her preferred style of makeup was a very natural “less is more” look. Her aim being to enhance natural beauty.
Sophia Wyatt also had a flare for hair up styling training with L’Oréal Professional, Patrick Cameron and attending various workshops like Lipstick & Curls perfecting her skills in vintage styling.
Sophia has worked on some fantastic projects throughout her career. Her media work offering her opportunities to travel far and wide. Working with some massive names in the film and TV world. She has worked for BBC, CBBC, ITV, Channel 4, Fox News and Sky, on various commercials, short films and editorial jobs.
“I love the diversity of media styling but my passion has always been to work with real people. I worked with well over a thousand brides throughout my hair and makeup career. I loved being able to help ladies who may have a low self esteem or body image, not always the bride but more often Mum of the bride or a bridesmaid. Regular makeup is such a temporary fix and such a superficial industry constantly striving for perfection, but who or what is perfect? For many people waking up and looking in the mirror fills them with dread. I have always wanted to do more for them.”
In more recent years Sophia has made a natural progression into the Permanent Makeup industry. Orginally training in Microblading, more recently in Digital Permanent Makeup techniques.
Sophia is a certified and fully insured member of BABTAC, a volunteer for LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER , a recommended supplier for ALOPECIA UK and is planning to work along side CHANGING FACES charity training as a Skin Camouflage Practitioner.
Sophia Wyatt contracted Meningitis when she was 16 years old. As a result she had both her legs and some fingers amputated. She has an understanding of the difficulties not only physically but emotionally faced when living with a disability or illness. Sophia has an inspirational outlook on life which is very apparent in her work.
Now a wife and mum of three beautiful children Sophia is focussing her skills offering various Permanent Makeup treatments from her beautiful home based studio, allowing her to spend valuable time with her family.
