As a hands-on skin therapist and clinic owner, I’m often in treatment when the phone rings or a new enquiry arrives. Giving the client in front of me my full attention is always my priority, but I also know how frustrating it can be to struggle to get through or wait for a reply.
To help with this, I’m trialling an AI receptionist service to assist with online enquiries, messages and calls.
What is an AI receptionist?
An AI receptionist is a virtual assistant that can respond to messages and speak with callers. It uses information supplied about the clinic to answer common questions, explain services and help people find the right next step.
You can ask questions in everyday language, much as you would when speaking to a receptionist. Depending on your enquiry, it can provide information, direct you towards booking or take a message for me to follow up.
The AI receptionist isn’t there to assess your skin or replace a personal consultation. I rarely offer treatment advice over the telephone, as it’s important for me to fully assess your skin concern in person. If you need advice about your skin or which treatment would be suitable, I’ll ask you to book a face-to-face consultation so I can assess it properly and make personalised recommendations.
It works best for new enquiries
The service is particularly helpful if you’re contacting the clinic for the first time. It can help with initial questions about treatments, how consultations work and how to book, even when I’m busy with a client.
More personal or detailed conversation, especially about your existing treatment are usually best handled directly with me.

Already a client? You can still reach me directly
If you’re a regular client, please continue to contact me through WhatsApp or email as you normally would.
If you telephone 07449 559331 and the AI receptionist answers, simply say:
“I want to speak to a human.”
It will transfer your call to me. If I’m in treatment or otherwise unable to answer, it will take a message so I can get back to you when I’m free.
Why I’m giving it a try
My hope is that this will help me keep up with calls and enquiries, reduce the time I spend catching up on messages, and free up more time for looking after you.
This is a trial, so I’ll be keeping an eye on how well it works. If you use the service, I’d love to hear how you find it, including anything that feels confusing or unhelpful.
Thank you for your patience while I try something new.
